BC: On the Hunt in Italy

Author: Jordan Bateman 2013/06/03

Part 7 in a 11-part blog series looking at questionable expenses of several government employees, as revealed by CTF Freedom of Information requests.

In 2011, the Metro Vancouver board dispatched Surrey Councillor Marvin Hunt to Florence, Italy, for a conference. Coun. Hunt flew executive business class, and charged taxpayers $5,467.32 in airfare. Hunt was also paid $3,960 by Metro taxpayers in “meeting fees.”

Hunt is now the B.C. Liberal MLA-elect for Surrey-Panorama Ridge.

Leave us a comment with your thoughts on Hunt’s expenses.
